Fighting for Love

Widowed at twenty three, Carla is broke and homeless and has lost all faith in men. When her father announced on her sixteenth birthday that she’d been promised to Nathan Kennedy, Carla was overjoyed. One of the wealthiest men in town and handsome to boot, her life with Nathan could be nothing but wonderful. But soon after the wedding on her eighteenth birthday, Carla learns that her husband leads a life in the shadows. His death brings her relief, not grief. But Carla soon learns that not all is as it seems. She expected to inherit a fortune; instead she had to be grateful that most of the debts were settled. With nowhere to go, no family and no friends, Carla turns to the Matrimonial times for a way out. She’s not looking for love, rather a little hope for a future. Sam Tilling’s proposal reaches her at a time when she has nowhere to turn and very few options. She boards the train to Hollowback Ridge, prepared to become a rancher’s wife. At first sight Carla knows Sam is nothing like Nathan. He’s kind, handsome and charming and he makes her feel as if her future might just hold love. There’s just one problem – Sam is already married. If you like mail order brides, cowboys and a little mystery then this sweet romance is definitely for you. Enjoy a journey into the old West as Carla and Sam try to fight for their love when all the stakes are stacked against them.
