Sherlock Holmes: A Stage Play

This stage play was a huge hit when it first played in the USA in 1899 and in the UK in 1901. A lot of time has passed since then and times have changed, and so details, expressions, jargon, and references which were easily understood over a hundred years ago were not so now, and so Garrick Bradman has given this century-old script a much needed re-evaluation and repolish. The result is a new revamped play which is more accessible and easily understood by today's readers, whilst, at the same time, remaining true and faithful to the original Victorian London spirit in which the story was originally written, is still set in, and in which so many people today still fondly like to transport themselves back to. People enjoyed this play over a hundred years ago and now, with this script revived and rejuvenated, they can again.
