Careful of Books

Careful of Books is a collection of four novellas by Cassandra Clare. One of the stories follows a Shadowhunter on an adventure, two are updated fantasy retellings of classic stories, and one is a new fantasy project. Here you will find:"A SEA CHANGE", the long-awaited Matthew Fairchild novella that narrates an adventure on board of a ship, set after The Last Hours."A SCANDAL AT UNDERSHAW", a novella with a take on the Sherlock Holmes books that takes place in the modern world."WENDY DARLING", a screenplay that Cassie wrote as a TV series pilot episode but never saw the light, it's a modern-day retelling of Peter Pan, in which Wendy goes to a boarding school for problematic kids where strange things happen as soon as she arrives."IN FIRE FORETOLD", a story about magic portals and alternate worlds. This title may sound familiar to you because this novella shares the name with Cassie's upcoming YA series that she will be writing after The Wicked Powers. The original idea began its life as a novella before she decided to expand it into a duology of novels, and this is that novella.
