Xenophon was a Greek historian, soldier, and student of Socrates. Xenophon is known for writing about the history of his own times (500-400 BCE) and his work, Hellenica, recounts the Peloponnesian War. Xenophon also wrote several Socratic dialogues, including an Apology concerning the events of Socrates’ trial and death.
