O tej książce

Rear cover reads: West Sussex is a landscape of contrasts, coastal plains, river valleys, downland, heathlands and the hedgerows and woodlands of the Weald, modem towns and ancient cities. Of the county, 60% is designated an as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Sussex Downs which incorporates both the downland and the north western ridges make up 37% of this area, whilst Chichester Harbour, and to the east of the county, the High Weald, make up the rest of this designation. West Sussex has 650 miles of public bridleways, 100 RUPPs, 10 by-ways and a large number of 'white' roads. Much good riding can be found throughout the county. This includes the South Downs Way, a national bridleway trail running between Eastbourne and Winchester; the Downs link which is a publicly promoted long distance bridleway starting on the North Downs Way near Guildford is Surrey and linking with the South Downs Way near Steyning and two British Horse Society promoted long distance bridle routes, The Hindhead Connection and The High Weald, both of which meander through the High Weald AONB from Copsale on the Downs Link, into East Sussex and eventually connect to the South Downs Way. The rides in this book all link to either the Downs Link or the South Downs Way and thus to each other.
