O tej książce
Puma Blues is set in the year 2000, Gavia Immer is a soldier sent out into the wild to observe and sample nature. It’s a world where racist fantasies have nuked the Bronx and the rivers need regular doses of alkalines in order to offset the effects of acid rain. A flying mantra ray has stirred political interest and Gavia is beset by memories of his father (whom he re-encounters through videos) and conversations with a trespassing cowboy, which are recorded by a wandering robotic chauffeur. Zulli’s artwork is detailed, like Barry Windsor-Smith’s, but he has also picked up the scratchiness of an Eddie Campbell.
