The Prince & Utopia

By the seventeenth century, the name Machiavelli (since The Princes publication in 1532) had become synonymous with diabolical cunning, a meaning that it still carries today. At the same time Sir Thomas More (14771535) was the first person to write of a 'utopia', a word used to describe a perfect imaginary world.And it was only in this book that such different works came together to provide the reader with the opportunity to judge these contradictory contemporaries.
