A catalogue documenting the 50th anniversary of Hirschl & Adler's first presentation of Richard Lonsdale-Hands' work. This catalogue, with 13 color illustrations, reintroduces this visionary artist and resuscitates an almost forgotten side of Lonsdale-Hands' genius. Best known as an industrial designer, tasked with camouflaging much of England in the midst of Nazi air raids, and who went on to found one of the most successful international marketing firms of the mid-twentieth century, Lonsdale-Hands pursued a passion for the act of painting that few outside of his family and friends knew.
