His disappearance has caused some concern at the university where he is Deputy Registrar - but when American research student Caroline Nevis decides to investigate, she finds unexpected obstacles put in her path. Nevertheless, she perseveres and goes after Hazlitt, but there are other hunters whose motives are more sinister.
