O tej książce

“The Honor to Serve” is a collection of just some of the incidents, calls, and investigations Jim Jones was involved in during his thirty-five year career with the San Antonio Police Department. Jim had the privilege to work in a number of units, to include Patrol, Vice, Homicide, the Repeat Offender Program, Sex Crimes, and Internal Affairs. After sharing some of these “war stories” with co-workers and others, he was constantly told, “Jim, you need to write a book!” Well, here it is. Jim has chronicled events he personally experienced. Everything from a terrifying ride on the hood of a truck, a shootout in the projects, and a car chase of armed robbers to the hunting down of ATM bandits, the tracking of a serial rapist, and a bizarre case involving fake undercover agents. He hopes you find these accounts and depictions not only interesting, but informative, as well. Maybe even funny, at times. But you’ll find this book enjoyable, to say the least. Take a trip back to the 1980’s when Jim started his police career patrolling the streets of San Antonio and on through to his final assignment in Internal Affairs. The profits from Jim’s book will be donated between two of his favorite charities – CASA and The 100 Club.
