Ben has a common story for the modern single, entering his late twenties and looking for a girlfriend. Alex, too, has a typical story for our had a job, lost his job and now looking for a job.Together Ben and Alex do not have a usual story. They are best friends and due to circumstances far too well within their control they find themselves at Britain’s greatest dog show, Crufts, on a weekday afternoon. Over a beer and the sound of excited dogs barking, they start to discuss Ben’s lack of success on the female front.
