Special Circumstances Part 1

Mike Daley is an ex-priest, ex-public defender, ex-husband, and most recently an ex-partner at Simpson & Gates, a prominent San Francisco law firm. He's on his own and setting up a private practice on the wrong side of town. Then his best friend and former colleague is charged with a brutal double murder involving one of Simpson & Gates's most powerful partners and a young associate. Although the police find a suicide note, they do not believe its authenticity. They think they have their killer, and Daley has to prove them wrong. Along the way Daley begins to discover dirty secrets that the firm has been hiding and his friend has a lot to hide, too.
