Since 1993, The Paris Review has awarded an annual prize of $10,000 to an emerging or previously unpublished writer whose fiction has appeared in our pages. Originally titled The Paris Review Discovery Prize, the award was renamed in honor of longtime editor George Plimpton after his death in 2003. It has since been known as The Plimpton Prize.
