Semeia 55: Early Christianity, Q and Jesus

From 1974 to 2002, the Society of Biblical Literature published "an experimental journal for biblical criticism", a scholarly collection of papers and monographs on selected topics. This edition, the 55th from 1991, focuses on early Christianity, the Sayings Gospel Q, and Jesus. Included are monographs on Q in the Gospel of Mark, the Sayings Gospel Q and the quest for Aramaic sources, the social history of the Q people, the Son of Man sayings in Q, interpretations of Jesus's death in Q, the mission charge in Q, and a consideration of Q and Jesus. Also included are responses from other scholars.
