SCRATCH: a friendly game of billiards against the Devil, with souls as the ultimate prize

Thomas, a budding young author, finds himself in a precarious situation with his career, his marriage, and with a couple of local pool hall regulars who are far more than they seem. Where, at first, he saw billiards as a kind of friendly competition, he soon realizes that Heaven and Hell, and his life as he knows it, hang in the balance. Before long, Thomas is a single shot away from losing to Ol' Scratch himself, in a very deadly game - one where his very soul is the ultimate prize.
