Our Voice Volume 4

This is Volume 4 of Our Voice, which is a student written and edited ebook produced by the students of Twin Lakes School Corporation in Monticello, Indiana. It is a crosscurriculur, inclusive writing project that seeks to raise interest in creative writing among K-12 students in our district. It may not be the only student magazine out there, but it goes two steps beyond by creating an entrepreneurial opportunity for students interested in digital media, publishing, marketing, and entrepreneurship as well as offering the chance for student writers to get published in a globally available medium before they even graduate. All proceeds from sales go into a scholarship fund for students or towards publishing a physical version of the ebook.61 student writers contributed 73 pieces for this volume. Time constraints, various content issues and file size precluded us from adding more. But that means Volume 5 will be packed (Coming this Fall).Also in this issue, we managed to include two Scholastic Gold Key winning pieces of student art. The cover, from Schuyler Chiszar, won a National Gold Key (the second National Gold Key artwork to grace our covers), and the inside artwork from Jorge Hernandez won a Regional Gold.We hope you enjoy what we have to say.
