'man sail from Maryland in winter is some kind of crazy….

It seemed like a good idea at the time….buy a boat cheap in Maryland, sail her south to some warm place to "fix her up" then sell her in the spring. Sort of like flipping houses, but a lot more fun! This then is the account of getting "Nirvana" out of the clutches of winter in Maryland, sailing her down the ICW and outside at times to Ft. Lauderdale. It was the son's idea (and his boat) and his father came along to help out. They are both licensed captains with miles and miles of sea time behind them. A fun trip, it was to be a great bonding time and sea adventure, although neither of them needed any "new" adventures. They've both had their share in the past. This account lasts nineteen days, Cambridge Maryland to Ft. Lauderdale, December 2011, and to spoil the ending, they made it in one piece, better friends than ever and bonding of the finest kind.
