After studying English at Oxford, Harris (1954-2000) worked and taught in Italy until she died. Eight selected essays and talks from her last five years focus on Romantic aesthetics to explore the Romantic influence on Emily Dickenson's poetic practice. They were part of a dissertation she was working on for Bangor University. A collection of her own poems is due to be published by the University of Bologna press. The text is double spaced.
