Letters to a Black President

Author Ron Howard has written a powerful gut-wrenching book, Letters to a Black President, a fictional account based on a traumatized 10-year old boy, Dreamer, who is caught up in the snares of institutions for troubled and abandoned youth. Dreamer s only hope of escaping his living nightmare of abuse and neglect is wrapped up in the hope and faith he has in the newly elected black president, Barack Obama. "I wrote this book to instill hope into the hearts of broken and abused children," said Howard. "I've personally witnessed the abuse and neglect of youth victimized by substandard residential programs."
