In the annals of English football, there are few legends to rival that of Manchester Uniteda team that today claims 75 million fans around the world. At the end of WWII, Matt Busby took over a weakened squad in a bomb-damaged stadium, and built the Reds into one of England’s most formidable clubs. Then, in February 1956, a plane crash killed several Manchester players, including the incomparable Duncan Edwards, and Busby had to begin all over again. With stars Best, Law, and Charlton, the club returned to the heights, and in 1968 became the first English team to win the European Cup.
