O tej książce
This book follows through three vibrant essays the career of the artist, filmmaker and writer Leandro Katz (Buenos Aires, 1938) from the beginnings of the nineteen sixties, when he was part of the vanguard magazine Airon, to his extended travels throughout Latin America as an itinerant editor and experimental poet until his arrival in New York, where he lived for four intense and prolific decades. The book also surveys several long-term investigative projects developed by this multi-faceted, rigorous, and passionate artist, from Maya culture and its Western representations, to the history of the banana plantations in Central America, the murder of Ernesto Che Guevara in Bolivia, and the rubber wars in Colombia. The book, finally, gathers a selection of his literary and essayistic texts, many of them until now unpublished, together with photographs and documents from his extensive archive.
