O tej książce
Omar, a young boy growing up in Cairo, has his ideal family life disrupted by tragedy. In his family's pursuit of justice they suffer persecution by the state and are drawn to radical Islamist ideology. With his father facing execution, the young man flees Egypt and joins followers of Osama Bin Laden. His life then becomes intertwined with the formation and growth of Al-Qaeda. In America an idealistic young man is inspired to become a professional soldier. After the horrors of September 11th, on an Afghan mountainside, these two men confront each other, with horrific consequences. Now, many years later, they must enter into deadly conflict with each other again, this time on American soil. However there are powerful people with their own plans that are more dangerous than any ever concocted by Al-Qaeda. Can one man stop not just the enemy he knows, but also the unknown enemy lurking within the heart of his country?
