Gerald and the Pelican

One Saturday morning, Gerald wakes up to discover a pelican asleep in bed next to him. Even more of a surprise, the pelican tells Gerald that it is representing the rights of waterbirds everywhere and it wants Gerald's help to prevent a local duckpond being concreted over.Their enemy is greedy Romoana Sneedie, a name to ring a death-knell through the world of waterbirds since the terrible never-to-be-forgotten Riverside Massacre. And the time for simple protest is over. As the cement trucks begin to roll, what's needed now is direct action. And that means Gerald and the pelican!
