Future Victories

"Future Victories" is a fictitious story set in post-Cold War 1995 that will make you wonder if the Russian threat is really over. When a Boeing jetliner crashes in Rome, a talented young investigator is sent to inspect the wreckage. He finds a smashed briefcase with papers written in Russian and he submits the papers to the CIA. In short order, the CIA discovers an intricate and highly organized plot dating back to the Cold War in which the Soviet Union installed atomic bombs in major U.S. cities with plans to detonate them simultaneously to bring the U.S. economy to its knees. The briefcase papers further reveal that the plot is still active. Sensing the imminent danger, CIA management immediately initiates a top secret operation to root out the bombs, deactivate them and locate the perpetrators. This edge-of-your-seat espionage thriller takes place in Rome, the Virgin Islands, China, the Marshall Islands, North Carolina, Florida, California, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Texas, Illinois, Washington and, of course, Langley, Virginia.
