Ethics and the Challenge of Secularism: Russian and Western Perspectives

The papers contained in this volume were presented at a conferenceentitled Ethics and the Challenge of Russian and WesternPerspectives held at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, May 25-26,2012. The conference was sponsored by the Society of ChristianPhilosophers, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy ofSciences, and the Biblical-Theological Commission of the MoscowPatriarchate, with the generous support of a grant from the JohnTempleton Foundation. The Philosophy Department and Center forEthics and Culture of the University of Notre Dame served as graciousand genial hosts. It was the eighth in a series of joint Anglo-American/Russian conferences on various topics organized by theSociety of Christian Philosophers.
