Doodaaa: The Balletic Art of Gavin Twinge

Last remnant of a 19th-century “domestic engineering dynasty” and heir to what’s left of the family fortune, Gavin Twinge—founder of the Doodaaa school—is the original angry voice of contemporary British art. After Ralphael Steed meets him in a London bookshop, he becomes determined to unravel Twinge’s mystery and to discover how, after Duchamp, art lost its soul. Drawing inspiration from Twinge’s fellow Doodaaaists, Steed proves to be a truly inspired (fictional) biographer, as bit by bit, a picture of the lost soul of art emerges.
