Deep Music: A Selection of L.D.S. Musical Readings

This collection includes 25 musical readings, varying in performance length from a few minutes to a full hour or more, designed specifically for and originally performed for L.D.S. congregations. The verse readings may be intercut with solo, choral, or congregational music; read with organ or piano background accompaniment; or excerpted as poetic offerings.While specific musical numbers have been inserted into these programs to suggest original performances, all selections may be deleted or replaced to meet the needs of individual congregations. It would be possible, for example, to perform any of the verse-cantatas with full choral accompaniment; alternatively, choral directors might choose congregational hymns or soloists.
