Dark Emblem

Written by Terry Collins, using the Gold Eagle house name of "James Axler."After a relatively easy mat-trans jump, Ryan and his companions find themselves in the remains of Puerto Rico, and welcomed by Dr. Silas Jamaisvous, a seemingly pleasant host who appears to understand the mat-trans systems extremely well for a post holocaust survivor. Seeing signs that local inhabitants have been used as guinea pigs for the scientist's ruthless experiments, the group realizes that they have to stop this line of research before it goes too far. Meanwhile, while utilizing Doc as a test subject, we learn of Tanner's background as he is "time trawled" through pivotal events in his life ... leading to a dramatic one-on-one showdown between Jamaisvous and Doc.
