Crossed Rifles: Winston's Whores

After serving in the Civil War and duty as an instructor West Point, Lt. Jake Winston is transferred to an isolated post West of the Pecos. He meets Claudia Flores, the lovely, tempestuous daughter of the Sephardic/Mexican Way Station proprietor. He soon comes to realize that it is his small unit of Irish immigrant soldiers that is the law West of the Pecos. The author takes the reader into the turmoil of Mexico and the adventure of the West Texas frontier at the later part of the 19th Century.
