Conflict of Laws in International Commercial Arbitration

Even though it has often been said that there is no more need for a conflict of laws analysis in international arbitration, quite the contrary is indeed the case. A conflict of laws analysis is required to identify the law applicable to the most disparate issues, and this is required at all stages of an international arbitration, from the pre-award stage to the post-award stage. All of the chapters have one very important thing in they all show that at every stage of an international arbitration, conflict of laws issues may arise and will have to be dealt with. There is no other recourse.
