Clinical Psychology in Ireland: Empirical Studies of Problems and Treatment Processes in Adults

Presents recent work in experimental research in psychology and in explanatory theories in the field. The collection begins with a review of common problems, their presentations, and their treatment. This is followed by a review which emphasizes key features of effective methods for the modification of offending behavior, and discussion of critical incident stress debriefing, implicit and explicit cognitive processes in the context of depression and anxiety, the concept of co- dependency, and how self-deception operates to protect people with psychosis from depression.
