O tej książce
"Villagers all, this frosty tide,Let your doors swing open wide,Though wind may follow, and snow beside,Yet draw us in by your fire to bide;Joy shall be yours in the morning!" 'Carol' is a lyrical song by Kenneth Grahame, first published in 1920, within chapter 5 of the children's classic 'The Wind in the Willows '(1908). This timeless and beautiful Christmas carol retells the story of Christ’s nativity, during a dark and heavy night when Joseph and Mary sought a place to take shelter. Kenneth Grahame (1859–1932) was a Scottish writer born in Edinburgh, most famous for the work 'The Wind in the Willows '(1908), one of the classics of children's literature, and a book that has inspired countless films and artistic works, as well as spin-off adaptations. He also wrote 'The Reluctant Dragon' (1898), as well as 'The Golden Age' (1895).
