O tej książce

Barbara Smith has been caring for Sydney's orphaned and injured possums for many years. In that time she has acquired a wealth of knowledge about their habits, their diet, their behaviour—all the things that a foster carer needs to know to look after possums effectively. This book provides practical guidelines for both the Common Ringtail Possum (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) and the Common Brushtail Possum (Trichosurus vulpecula). The author has achieved a high level of success in raising orphaned, injured and displaced possums, and has also had, through fieldwork in association with the University of New South Wales, the privilege of following the successful rearing of young in the wild by possums she has reared and released. The book is beautifully illustrated with photographs of possums in various stages of development.
