Short story, the first of the Stardancer campfire tales which have been described as "children's stories for adults." The Stardancer is a kind of shaman who conducts storytelling ceremonies for the tribe's children that last for days and nights at a time. The Stardancer is also a bit of a magician able to send the listener into the story settings and characters.
