This can be due to disease or accident, but more often it results from a life-time of poor movement habits. I see this every time I watch crowds of older adults. Struggling to simply walk around. This training program is based on years of experience of body movement work and athletics.Designed to take you back to the ease of movement you enjoyed as a youngster.This started 30 years ago, when I was studying the Bruce Lee fighting style, Jeet Kune Do, in my 40s. The underlying philosophy was “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”Simple movement therapy carried me all the way to the Boston Marathon! As I started to run distance, for Ironman training in my late 50s, I had lots of problems – running-induced injuries! Three knee surgeries woke me up. It was time to change the way I moved. To stop injuring myself. I studied running styles, and changed to a low-impact approach. With this new running style, and Feldenkrais training to cure a knee issue, I proceeded to qualify for this most widely known of all marathons. Two years after my last knee surgery! It was all due to simple movement changes.The success of Feldenkrais, led me to study other body movement techniques, with great instructors. This body-awareness adventure included Yoga, Pilates, Gyrokinesis, and Continuum. Each one added new skills to my body movement inventory.What is Body Meditation! It's a carefully selected set of easy exercises, designed to awaken your sense of body-awareness. To help you learn to listen more carefully!The changes are easy to make.
