Birzer Guide to Pop and Art Rock

I don't remember a time of my life (now, over half a century) in which music did not guide and inspire me. While my favorite form of music is and has been progressive rock, I have also always enjoyed really intelligent pop music. This book examines my favorite pop albums from 1981 to the present, with a slight detour back to 1966. Beach Boys, Ultravox, Thomas Dolby, Simple Minds, XTC, U2, The Cure, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, My Bloody Valentine, Sixpence None the Richer, Ordinary Psycho, NAO, SAND, Natalie Merchant, and Vertica each make an appearance or two.
