American Ascendant: American Foreign Relations Since 1939

America Ascendant offers undergraduates a survey of recent diplomatic history and international relations, illuminating the course of America's relationship with the world community from the coming of World War II to the end of the Cold War. Diplomacy, war, economic relations, and politics are covered at length, but cultural relations—including sports, dress, film, television, popular images, and values—also receive vigorous treatment.
