All the Gear & Some Idea: How to use Facebook The Basics

This user guide is aimed to people who want to know how to use Facebook. I want to try and teach people who are not familiar with computers and the internet. Beginners, and the people who type with one finger. Why should Facebook only be used by younger people and the computer savvy?This guide is a basic overview. I intend to release a series of guides ranging from buying and looking after your computer, using the internet and staying safe. I want to try and explain things in a way that is not riddled with jargon and be understood by novice computer users without being patronising.I got the idea from my father. He bought a new laptop which I helped setup for him. He asked me to show him “The Facebook”. I told him it was just called Facebook. Each week he would bring me his laptop and ask me how to do something or other. After a few weeks, I noticed that he had lots of Facebook notifications and messages that he was completely unaware off. So, this my way of helping him so that he doesn’t hassle me anymore and to maybe help others.Lots of people already know how to use Facebook. But there is a whole load of people who don’t. Hopefully this guide will show people how to use Facebook, stay secure and get the best use out of Facebook. It’s not called a social network for nothing.
