O tej książce
This book treats the flowering of Mughal Art and the creation of a Mughal artistic community in the city of Fatehpur-Sikri,City Of Victory, during the Emperor Akbar the Great residence there (1571 until 1585). The various chapters cover material on miniature painting, textiles, manuscripts, woodwork and metal-ware, all selected with a view to showing Akbar's adherence to traditional Islamic concepts of Kingship and his concerns with the dichotomy between realms of the physical world and the spiritual world. At the back of the book are detailed comments on the 81 glossy color plates and a chronology of important historical events of Akbar's lifetime and reign.
