After the Deluge, A Study of Communal Psychology, Volume I

This is the first volume of a detailed survey of the whole of contemporary political and social psychology. It is an attempt to investigate the relation between our individual and communal beliefs and desires on the one hand and contemporary events and civilization on the other. This volume is mainly concerned with democracy and democratic psychology in general as they developed in the eighteenth century and the American and French Revolutions.
