O tej książce
This book is a compendium of the active, recruiting, United States studies treating brain injury registered with Clinicaltrials.gov. Clinicaltrials.gov is the largest website listing of registered clinical research studies in the world.I have corrected the mischaracterization of studies, to only include those that truly belong within each category, and to correct spelling and grammar, while maintaining the original spirit and intent of the researchers, so as to produce a consistent and easy to read format. The Study title and the clinical trial number is provided in order to make it easier for the reader to obtain further information. The presented information is summarized in the Tables, and additional information is provided in the “Notes” section. It may be a matter of semantics, but I used the term “brain injury,” with the implication that an “injury” may be healed. The term “brain damage,” implies permanency, and is a less optimistic term. Obviously, there are instances where permanent, untreatable damage may have occurred, but from a patient perspective even these patients may prefer to be called brain injured, rather than brain damaged.I hope that by providing this reference, the field of brain injury treatment will be advanced.
