Across the street

Across the Street is a curated collection of Daniel Clowes’ original artwork, offering a unique glimpse into his creative process. The book features color comp sketches in pencil, ink, and color pencil, including rarely seen versions of notable pieces such as four New Yorker covers, multiple iterations of the cover for Monica, and 15 compositions for other book and comic covers. Accompanying these visuals are a biography and a bibliography of Clowes’ publications in English, Italian, and French. Additionally, the edition includes a limited 50×70 cm double-sided poster reproducing Clowes’ line art for the front and back cover of Monica. The text is presented in Italian, French, and English.
