A Visit to Kamakhya and the Mahavidya Shrines

Kamakhya Temple is one of the most sacred Goddess shrines in the world. It's the most famous of all the Shakti piths (Goddess sites). Located in the city of Guwahati in the province of Assam in India, the temple cave is said to be the yoni of the Goddess herself. The mountainside contains numerous other caves and shrines which include all of the Mahavidyas or ten wisdom goddesses. In 2019 Brandy Williams visited the temple, the Mahavidya shrines, Umananda Island and the archaeological site and temple at Madan Kamdev.
