A Mother's Weapon

Esther silently placed her baby into the basket, kissing his tiny face for the last time, another child dead, the grief was unbearable. She gazed into her husband’s eyes and seeing the sorrow decided she would run away. Reaching the icy river she jumped in and wished for the anguish to disappear. However she survived and embarks upon journey of faith and discovery as she tries to return to her homeland.
