A widow with three children will never get her act together if she can't even keep herself from getting pregnant on a one-night affair with the funny-looking guy at work. Not all problems go away with age. The mill workers have their dreams, but unless they work every day to make the dreams become reality -- they remain just that -- dreams., fantasies that aren't any closer to reality than they were yesterday.
