O tej książce

The hilly residential areas of Los Angeles are sprinkled with nearly 300 public stairways. They can be found in neighborhoods from Garvanza to Rustic Canyon, from San Pedro to Beachwood Canyon. Author Bob Inman self-published this little guide as a tool to help the LA walker and observer locate and appreciate the public stairways. It was the first extensive treatment of the public stairways of Los Angeles to appear since “Stairway Walks in Los Angeles” written by Bakalinsky and Gordon and published in 1990. After Inman released this guidebook, he began a twelve-year run leading well over 6,000 participants on more than 260 urban walking events. The cost today renders this book an unlikely purchase for anyone but a collector in this topic. Inman’s Finding “Los Angeles By Stairstreet, bridge, pathway and lane” (2014) includes all of the content of Guidebook to the Public Stairways of Los Angeles and much more at a much more realistic price.
