A Galaxy to Call My Own

The Fermi Paradox asks “If intelligent life is common in the universe then where are all the aliens?” This science fiction short story describes an explorer whose job is to search another galaxy for signs of intelligent life. In this story humans have never found another intelligent species after searching hundreds of galaxies. The explorer finds a robotic probe created by another intelligent race and initiates first contact.
