O tej książce

Bestiaries, or compendia of beasts, originated in the ancient world and were made popular in the Middle Ages. More recently, notables such as Leonardo da Vinci, Jorge Luis Borges and Toulouse Lautrec have all penned their own versions. Williams’ selection criterion for inclusion is his bestiary was that he had to have encountered the animal. This leads to amusing and exciting meetings with both domestic and wild animals., some resulting in “close calls.”
