Rudolph Rocker called Benjamin Tucker a great representative of “…philosophic anarchism in America.” And “…a man whose influence was greater than that of any of his predecessors.” 1.Peter Kropotkin in his 1910 entry of Anarchism in the Encyclopedia Britannica said of “His criticism of the present state is very searching, and his defense of the rights of the individual very powerful.” 2.Tucker was listed as one of the seven great Anarchists in Paul Eltzbacher’s The Great Anarchists. 3.Tucker’s American Individualist Anarchism is just a relevant today as it has been since its inception since everyone could benefit from a competitive market with equality of opportunity in a free society.
