'Of Mice and Men' revolves around two central characters: Lennie and George. Lennie is a man with the strength of two, but with it the mind of a child — simple, unaffected, and kindly. His whole world centres around George, who steers him through life and protects him when his superhuman strength and child's mind unwittingly entangle him in trouble.Of 'Cannery Row' John Steinbeck said he just "opened the pages and let the stories crawl in by themselves'.
